What’s An Alternative To Competing With People?

What’s an alternative to competing with people? Why compare yourself with others when there is no need. No one in the entire world can do a better job of being you than you so begin to do you and none else. Your signature your stamp was given to you to perfect not to copy someone else, yes you can emulate certain qualities and characteristic that you see in someone that you like, but it has to be made into your persona and have your signature.

In life, it does not matter how many people are on your side, because if you are not cheering you on, if you can’t get on your side, you will never get past “go.” The thing about comparing is that there is never a win. Our minds want us to quantify it wants us to rank and file and organize information. Our minds want to know where we fit into the scheme of things. So we have to give it something to do.
We are always becoming more and in a state of creation.

We decide to choose and then again because the direction is always towards expansion. It is our human nature to expand. What are your wins this year, compared to last year at this time? It is an excellent time right now with the year ending to reflect on how your life has improved? How have you improved? What have you done recently that you never thought that you could do? In other words, how have you continued to become a new and improved version of yourself?

We all arrived here, and we all came in different. We came with original intentions that through life experiences, we have to continue to hone. In fact, my friend the only masterful creation we have to work with is ourselves. We do not have the right to defame it. Michelangelo, the world renowned artist and sculptor, said this” “Every block of stone has a statue inside it, and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it.” The same applies to us and our purpose the journey to the discovery of it. It does not matter what everyone else is doing with their stone/gift/ talents.

The responsibility of each person is to tend to and honor with care and compassion and praise and gratitude their block of stone metaphorically speaking. When you compete with yourself every day, you’ll become a far better learner and as a results more in tune with your purpose. Focus on the process and compete with yourself only. In the long run, it’s really about competing with yourself, just make sure that you show up and the rest will take care of itself.

The idea of being competitive has gotten a bad reputation. Being gracious and supportive and also being competitive are not mutually exclusive personality traits. The people who have mastered that balance are the ones who have learned how to funnel that energy; rather than competing with the people around them, they compete with themselves. When you do this here are the gifts you receive:

You will have a much healthier measure of your success. You get a better sense of what you are capable of and you embrace more of the unknown. You get to define your success. You become that much more free of people’s judgment. You will never rest on your laurels.
The only thing that will ever truly satisfy a competitive person is the lifelong pursuit of improving and challenging yourself in new ways. When you look inward for that inspiration, you will always win.

Until the next time take good care, be and stay well.
