Longevity And Good Health!

Longevity and good health go together, and they both are dancing around today with the use of lots of buzz words that people connect to healthy living. Two that you see everywhere are “anti-aging” and Collagen II. Who does not want the tag of longevity added into their lifetime and made a part of their lifestyle? Health benefits for disease prevention and treatment are in the fore front today, and that’s a good thing.

The health enthusiast all agree that if we can get at least 95% of our foods from plants, our chances of living longer are stronger. If you mention meat, the entire conversation changes. The consensuses seem to consume meat no more than twice a week, and they favor in this order chicken, lamb, and pork from family farms. The reason was that when the animals can graze or forage freely, it leads to higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids.

It is best if you can eat up to 3 ounces of fish daily. When you can include a small portion of fish daily, it will aid in your ability to live longer. The best fish choices are middle of the food chain species like sardines, anchovies, and cod. The chances of finding high levels of mercury in the fish that we listed will be lower than any other type of fish, making them much better choices.

You have heard this before, but it seems to still be up front when it comes to being in the best of health. You can up your water intake because you can’t drink too much and it will offset sugar laden beverages. If you drink alcohol to make it red wine it has been showed to help the body absorb plant based antioxidants. You might love this one, a little bit of alcohol at the then end of the day reduces stress, which is good for overall health. Green tea has been shown to lower the risk of heart disease and several cancers. Don’t worry about all the negative talk about coffee drinking copious amounts will reduce your rate of Dementia and Parkinsons Disease.

Plant based diets are in the forefront today and still in the lead for excellent health that leads to longevity. How will you get your protein, the trick is to partner with grains, legumes, and nuts and veggies that supply all of the essential amino acids that your body can not make on its own. We all have many actions that we can take to promote our excellent health, but sometimes we overlook some of the simplest and most obvious.

Longevity and good health have to incorporate the mindset that you “Live with a Purpose. You must determine what you were put here on earth to do. It will help to know your genetic Code both your history and your future lie within your genes. When you know your family history and the genetic factors you have the benefit of stopping it head on. It will not hurt you to become more social it will enhance your mood and increase your lifespan.

We end with what you embrace and what will be for your good, and that is: “EVERYTHING IN MODERATION.”

The key is not to consume a few food in excess but, to integrate a large variety of foods in moderation. You can be good for five days and then allow yourself to indulge in your favorite pleasures on the weekend or what will work best for your schedule. You are in charge of your health, and you can live the long and joyful life that you desire. The choice is yours and filled with possibilities.
