Where Do You Go To Find Courage When You Have None?

Where do we begin when all one hears today are the inspirational platitude, wonderful advice on how to become courageous and find your courage? First just hearing you should be brave rarely works and beyond that the word fearless is not quite right. No one is fearless, the people that we admire the most, the one’s doing amazing, courageous things, they are not brave. What they are good at is moving through their fear.

What is bravery what we just described is bravery, feeling your fear and taking steps away from it. How do you find courage when it is not in your persona? Here are a few foundational principles to change your state of mind into courage.

CHECK IN: Admit you’re afraid, and take your time to get clear on the why of it.

DITCH THE DRAMA: Don’t aim to be fearless. Aim to stop adding drama and intensity to your fear by ditching the storylines. ( become mindful of the stories you’re telling yourself).

BREATHE INTO YOUR HEART: The word courage is related to the French word “color” which means “heart.” What you are aiming for in an anxiety filled moments is a connection with your heart.

When we speak to the heart, in this case, the heart has a dual definition. The energic area in the center of your chest out of which wisdom, warmth and ease flow, and the meaning behind whatever action or choice frightens you the most. In other words the heart of the matter. Place your hand on your heart and imagine as if you could breathe in and out of that heart space all of the fear and release it. Yes, it will take time but it can be done, and you can do it.

What you can do to stop impeding your ability to fulfill your potential is this find and follow your authentic purpose. One of the best ways to work in a positive way with your fears and here are a few ways that you will be able to move forward and go beyond the concerns.

When you have a great purpose, your thoughts break their bonds because you are inspired. Your mind transcends limitations; your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great, and wonderful world. Dormant forces, facilities, and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.

You want to learn to be able to bend and not break to be resilient like bamboo and learn to let go what no longer serves your best interest. When you can begin to turn every obstacle into an asset, you are on your way to the courage you are seeking. Fearless people work with what they have and turn obstacles into opportunities. The art of being at ease with challenges, disappointments, and rejections becomes like a second nature to people who are living a fearless life.

Once individuals who are learning to live with their fears are recognized, they begin to see setbacks as gifts and finds ways to utilize them to move forward with their plans. Remember that creative people and we all are in different ways do more experiments and failure is a part of that process, and it gives you more chances to be successful.

Conquering fear is about self-awareness, wisdom, and understanding your strengths, often in the face of adversity. You have to go inside to find your courage, and luckily your personality traits will lead you to your heartbeat just listen and heed the messages.

Until the next time, take good care and be well.
