Achieve higher awareness and purpose by listening to your heart. Because when you do, you and the universe are in sync. The question that your higher self is asking of you will only unfold when it connects with your heart’s desire. The real test for you is not a job description; you should focus more on qualities and the journey, not the destination. Trust your inner guidance, listen.
When you have a high sense of purpose in life it could lower your risk of heart disease and stroke, according to a new study led by researchers at Mount Sinai, St. Luke’s, and Mount Sinai Roosevelt at the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions In Baltimore. The new analysis defined purpose in life as a sense of meaning and direction, and a feeling that life is worth living.
Developing and refining your sense of purpose could protect your heart health and potentially save your life,” says lead study author Randy Cohen, MD, a preventive cardiologist at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai Roosevelt. “Our study shows there is a strong relationship between having a sense of purpose in life and protection from dying or having a cardiovascular event. We all need to ask ourselves the critical question of ‘do I have a sense of purpose in my life?’ If not, you need to work toward the important goal of obtaining one for yourself.
The power of the heart is awe inspiring and a fascinating study. It has been proving that the heart is a powerful organ and much more than a physical body. With interesting spiritual and scientific insights. It possesses its intelligence, capable of transforming your views of money, health, relationships, and success. Mindfulness exercises and contemplation guide you to activate the heart’s special powers—including intuition, intention, gratitude, forgiveness, and love.
What you want to do is find your hidden talents, hear your inner voice, and fulfill your higher purpose in life. Many of our great teachers of the world’s spiritual traditions describe the heart as the source of real power. Today, our modern science pioneers have delivered to us the evidence that the heart has a power that goes beyond its biological function.
We define purpose as ‘being in the right place with the people who matter to you, doing your life’s work.’ For some people, finding your purpose in life is a spiritual concept, or has a religious dimension; for others, it’s a more secular notion, with a need to be valued as a member of a family or group. ‘Not everyone feels the need for a philosophy of life purpose, but we all need to be needed. The purpose is fundamental. “Mattering”, ultimately, is what matters to you and the goal, so what is important to you and your sense of purpose?
Until the next time take good care, be and stay well.
